Purple Ski Announces Reimagined Chalet Pierre in Méribel for the 2026/27 Ski Season

Purple Ski, the premier luxury chalet operator offering exceptional properties across the French Alps, is delighted to unveil Chalet Pierre, Méribel, the latest addition to its portfolio. Originally built in 1959 and among the very first chalets in the resort, Chalet Pierre has been meticulously rebuilt for 2026, combining contemporary luxury with the heritage and character that has defined it for more than six decades. Sleeping up to 15 guests across seven beautiful bedrooms, Chalet Pierre will welcome its first guests from December 2026.

Thoughtfully designed to create a warm, cocooning atmosphere, Chalet Pierre seamlessly blends rustic Alpine charm with modern comfort. Natural materials, carefully curated furnishings and original timber features are used throughout the property, while a magnificent cathedral-style roof structure crowns the chalet’s spectacular top-floor living space, creating a striking sense of character and scale.

The chalet’s top floor is dedicated to an expansive open-plan living area centred around a suspended fireplace, with floor-to-ceiling windows framing breathtaking mountain views. Seven luxurious en-suite bedrooms are spread across the chalet’s three floors, while a cinema and games room provide the perfect setting for family evenings in. Following a day on the slopes, guests can unwind in the serene wellness area, complete with a large indoor hot tub, sauna, hammam and massage treatment room. Connected to the neighbouring Lac Bleu residence via a private underground passageway, Chalet Pierre also offers unlimited access to additional wellness and leisure facilities, including a spa, gym, swimming pool and covered parking.

Tucked behind the Morel chairlift, the chalet offers convenient ski-in/ski-out access to the Altiport ski area, while remaining just minutes from the centre of Méribel and its restaurants, shops and après-ski scene.

Originally constructed in 1959 by owner Jean-Marie Front’s father, Pierre, to welcome some of Méribel’s earliest visitors, Chalet Pierre occupies a unique place in the resort’s history. Jean-Marie and his wife Maryline Front, owners of Chalet Pierre, comment: “We are delighted to unveil Chalet Pierre following its complete transformation. This chalet holds a very special place in our family’s history, having welcomed guests to Méribel since 1959. Throughout the redesign, our aim was to preserve the character and heritage of the original chalet while creating a warm, welcoming home that offers every modern comfort. We are incredibly proud of the result and look forward to sharing Chalet Pierre with guests from around the world.”

As with all chalets in the Purple Ski collection, guests of Chalet Pierre have access to a full team of staff, daily housekeeping, an in-chalet ski and boot fitting service and a private chauffeured minibus, as well as a dedicated concierge service to cater to every guest’s wish. From organising private airport and helicopter transfers to restaurant reservations, ski lessons, spa treatments, childcare and the unique experiences which make a holiday extra special, the Purple Ski concierge is always on hand to provide alpine adventures of a lifetime.

What’s more, the chalet’s dedicated chef prepares freshly cooked breakfasts, afternoon tea and pre-dinner canapés each day, alongside exquisite four-course dinners on five evenings each week. Meals are complemented by unlimited Veuve Clicquot or Taittinger champagne throughout the stay.

Purple Ski offers an unparalleled portfolio of the finest luxury catered ski chalets across Méribel, Courchevel and Val d’Isère.
